I didn’t see this coming.
When I posted we were preparing for the soft launch of Enluma AI to help leaders grow who traditionally were overlooked, I received the following comment:
“Another AI platform to meet a different audience. I wonder at what point the market will be oversaturated with AI tools and cause a collapse.”

At first, I didn’t know what to make of the comment.
No surprise, I’m very excited about what we’re trying to do and we’ve been working on this for multiple years.
But the more I thought about the comment, it reminded me of the skepticism of AI and the underlying concern about AI automating and in turn, taking people’s jobs.
Understandably, there is a healthy amount of skepticism out there about AI. Especially when you hear many thought leaders share their love affair with AI.
But I should clarify our intention.
We’re not trying to replace live coaches or in-person workshops.
Instead, we want to leverage AI and community to provide support and resources that we as humans, have been able to do before, to help those aspiring leaders who would otherwise be left out.
For the intended users of our platform, today they rely on books, videos, and podcasts to learn how to be a better leader.

These low cost highly-accessible options share wisdom but never provide personalized insights and rarely do they lead to genuine behavioral improvements.
On the other end of the spectrum, these same aspiring leaders can’t afford $1,000s for coaching and in person sessions.
Historically, we’ve just accepted this as the way it is because we didn’t have the capacity or technology to help these underserved leaders.
But this is where we can put AI to work for us, to provide impacts that in the past, were not feasible nor practical.
Traditionally, we didn’t consider more widespread support for aspiring leaders because it was too expensive and relied too heavily on humans.
Now, we have a chance to close the gap.
Thinking back to the comment I received, I’m glad I got it.
When you’re heads down focused on developing your solution, it’s easy to lose perspective.
It’s easy to not clearly share how your solution can be helpful.
While I’m thinking about our intended users, there is also another beneficiary of our platform: existing leadership coaches and consultants.
If we expose more people to personalized leadership coaching and genuinely improving their behaviors, a segment of our users will want to take this further.
To work with a coach or have an in-person session.
This is why we’re currently building a “growth partners” section where we connect our users with coaches, speakers, and facilitators.
We want people to genuinely grow and become stronger leaders.
If that is with more traditional approaches, we’re happy to point users there and provide a business pipeline for coaches, speakers, and facilitators.
And it’s all enabled by AI.
