Over the past few weeks we got feedback on our platform that changed how I describe what we’ve built.
So many leaders we talk to say they want to grow their teams, but they are short on time.
And here’s what matters — they mean it.
These aren’t the leaders who don’t care about their people.
They’re the ones who care, and carry it around as low-grade guilt.
“Develop the team” sits on the list. It moves to next week. Then next quarter.
Then someone resigns, and it becomes urgent about six months too late.
Because development has always demanded time leaders don’t have.
Schedule the workshop. Find a coach. Protect the 1:1. Prepare the feedback. Follow up.
The intention was never the problem.
The issue is the lack of time and energy.
So, we’ve stopped describing Enluma AI as a leadership development platform.
It’s a coaching assistant.
A focused 20-statement survey. Not a ninety-minute assessment.
AI works with users to turn feedback into real development goals and specific actions — the work that usually takes a coach an hour.
Follow-up that happens without users remembering to follow up.
Role plays and simulations — with the AI coach or inside the courses — so users can practice the hard conversation before you have it.
And a community of leaders working together, so nobody is doing it alone.
Here’s the opportunity:
Instead of delaying development discussions, imagine your direct reports coming to you with the feedback they received, development goals they created, sharing what they have learned and your focus is, “how can I help”.
That feels a lot better than carrying around guilt that you still need to develop your team.
Enluma AI officially launches August 28 (beta version is available now).
If “develop my team” has been on your list longer than you’d like to admit, this is a good week to move it.
