100 Years ago yesterday, my paternal grandmother Lorraine and her Twin Elaine were born.
Lorraine was an amazing grandmother. She always had a pie or cake ready and could whip up cookies in no time flat.

Her family was her top priority, and she loved being the captain of her kitchen.
She’s been gone now for nearly 10 years.
The reason I share this?
We often don’t realize the impact we have on others, those lasting memories people will have of us.
We may sometimes feel as though life is on repeat and every day is the same.
It’s another Monday and then we’re working to get to Friday. Then the weekend goes too quickly.
But if we take this approach, we’re putting ourselves at risk of missing an impactful moment, an opportunity to help someone and leave a positive impact.
To quote one of my favorite movies, “Life moves pretty fast, if you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you might miss it.”
So as I honor the birthday of Lorraine and Elaine, I think about the impact I want to have and how I can help others.

So I don’t miss life.
She didn’t miss out and every day made everyone’s day a little brighter.
Thanks grandma, happy 100th birthday. I’ll try to keep up your good work.
